アートの鑑賞や展示が及ぼす効用に関する研究は，健康や医療・教育・福祉・ビジネスなど，様々な領域に及び，研究がなされつつある。本研究では，アート鑑賞を題材とした実験的手法やワークショップを用いて，アートがどのようにメタ認知やウェルビーイングを高めるかを明らかにし，そのための方策について考えるために，理論的・実践的に取り組む研究を行うことを目的とした。2年計画の1年目は理論的枠組みから，2年目は実践的・実証的枠組みからアートの効用について検討することとした。今年度は，過去の研究を整理し，美術鑑賞のどのような側面がどのような精神的・身体的効用を生みうるかについて整理するとともに，教材化のためのビデオ撮影のセットアップを完成させ，美術鑑賞のための予備的教材化を行った。さらに科研費・基盤研究(B)とタイアップして，コールドプレッサー課題（冷たい水の中に手を入れて痛みに我慢できなくなり手を自ら出すまでの時間を計測する課題）に美術鑑賞中の美しさの程度が与える影響について検討し，美的評価の強度が痛みを低減させることを明らかにした（科研費からは実験参加者への謝金等を拠出）。
Research on the effects of art appreciation and exhibition has been conducted in various fields such as health, medicine, education, welfare, and business. The purpose of this study was to conduct theoretical and practical research to clarify how art enhances metacognition and wellbeing using experimental methods and workshops on the subject of art appreciation, and to consider measures to achieve this. This year, we will organize past research on what aspects of art appreciation can produce what kind of mental and physical benefits, complete the setup of video recording for teaching materials, and create preliminary teaching materials for art appreciation. Furthermore, in collaboration with Kakenhi, we examined the effect of the degree of beauty during art appreciation on the cold presser task, in which participants place their hands in cold water and measure the time until they cannot stand the pain and remove their hands themselves, and found that the intensity of aesthetic evaluation reduced pain.
