研究最終年度である本年度は、昨年度の遅れを取り戻すよう努めた。写本Ms. 9-5173の校訂版作成は継続したが、註解をつけるのに当初の予想よりも手間取ったため完成させることはできなかった。
一方、この写本と直接的関連がある勅命年代記『カトリック両王年代記』（フェルナンド・デ・プルガール著）に関する文献学的研究を進めた。『カトリック両王年代記』の、それぞれ数種ある写本と刊本の関連を分析し、本研究の底本とすべき版を決定した。また、写本と刊本の相関関係の中に写本Ms. 9-5173を位置付け、写本Ms. 9-5173が『カトリック両王年代記』のテクスト群の中でもっとも初期のものであるという結論に達し、これに関する論考の執筆を開始した。
また、『カトリック両王年代記』と写本Ms. 9-5173を比較照合し、写本Ms. 9-5173が『カトリック両王年代記』の草稿のひとつではないかという仮説に達した。『カトリック両王年代記』は前半と後半では叙述スタイルに顕著な違いが見られる。前半の叙述内容と構成は、カトリック両王の正統性を擁護し確かに定着させようとする意図を直接に反映しているが、後半の特にグラナーダ戦役開始後の叙述は時系列に完全に沿った戦記である。そして、『カトリック両王年代記』の中で写本Ms. 9-5173に対応するテクストは、カトリック両王の王権正当化のイデオロギーが濃厚に反映した前半部分に集中している。
写本Ms. 9-5173はカトリック両王期初期の権力闘争の中で貴族たちが発した演説を集めたものだが、このテクストが『カトリック両王年代記』の草稿だったとすれば、写本Ms. 9-5173の分析を通じて、『カトリック両王年代記』が持つ意図をより入念に分析し、さらにはルネサンス期における歴史記述の本質について新しい解釈を加えることが可能になるかと思われる。
This has been the final year of this research project in which I have made efforts to catch up on my research. I have continued with the preparation of a critical edition of Ms. 9-5173, but I have not been able to complete it.
On the other hand, I have carried on with a philological study on Crónica de los Reyes Católicos, a royal chronicle written by Fernando de Pulgar. I have analyzed the relationship between various manuscripts and editions of this chronicle and I have chosen the edition upon which this research should be based on. At the same time, I have ranked Ms. 9-5173 in the correlation of manuscripts and editions of Crónica de los Reyes Católicos and in this respect I have derived the conclusion that Ms. 9-5173 is the earliest of various texts of this chronicle. I have started to write a paper on this topic.
Besides, through a careful check of Crónica de los Reyes Católicos against Ms. 9-5173 I have reached the conclusion that this manuscript was one of the drafts for the chronicle. The narrative style of Crónica de los Reyes Católicos differ markedly from the first half to the second half of the work. In the first half, the narrative style and the structure reflect directly the intention to defend and establish the legitimacy of Catholic Monarchs, while the second half, especially after the beginning of the Granada War, is completely an annals of war. And the texts that correspond to those of Ms. 9-5173 are concentrated in the first half of Crónica de los Reyes Católicos, which reflects clearly the intention to build an ideology to justify the sovereingty of Catholic Monarchs. Ms. 9-5173 is a collection of speeches which various noblemen pronounced in the power struggle that took place in the early years of Catholic Monarchs, and if this manuscript was one of the drafts for Crónica de los Reyes Católicos, it will be possible to analyze more throughly the intention that Crónica de los Reyes Católicos has, and to put a new interpretation on the nature of historic works produced in Renaissance period.
