本研究の使命は、(a)「レイト・モダニズム」の概念を同時代の時間性言説との関連の中で検証していくこと、( b)「レイト・モダニズム」の言説の歴史を検証し、その理論的な可能性の中心を探り出すこと、そして(c)「レイト・モダニズム」の歴史的プログラムの観点からブルームズベリー・グループの集合的な言説を再検証すること、の三点であった。(a)と(b)の理論的な視点と(c)の実践的な視点を交えながら、レイト・モダニズムに関する包括的な研究を行った。特筆すべき成果としては、『「ドライブ・マイ・カー」論』（共編著、慶應義塾大学出版会、2023年）が挙げられる。現代映画をモダニズムの翻訳の観点から読み解いた。
The missions of this research are (a) to investigate the concept of "late modernism" in the context of the contemporary discourse on temporality, (b) to explore the theoretical possibilities of "late modernism" by means of examining the history of its discourse, and (c) to reexamine the collective discourse of the Bloomsbury Group in terms of the historical programme of "late modernism".  The combination of theory and practice is the key to my research. Among many research achievements is Drive My Car: Essays on Hamaguchi's Cross-Media Vehicle (co-edited with Ryohei Tomizuka, Keio University Press, 2023). In my essay I explored this contemporary film in terms of modernist translation.
