| Abstract |
本稿の目的は，戦前期日本の日本綿業の生産統制の実態を，綿工連理事長・三輪常次郎の活動に焦点を当てながら検討することである。近代日本のリーディング産業であった綿業は，イギリスやオランダと貿易摩擦問題を引き起こしたため，日本綿業の再編を求められた。商工省と綿工連は，「紡績－織布－輸出商人」を連携させることで，日本綿業を一体化させ，輸出競争力を高めていくことになった。
This paper examines production control in the Japanese cotton industry in prewar Japan, focusing on the activities of Tsunejiro Miwa, president of the Japan Export Cotton Textile Industry Association.
As a leading industry in modern Japan, the cotton industry caused trade friction with Great Britain and the Netherlands. The Japanese cotton industry had to be restructured accordingly.
Based on the above, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Japan Export Cotton Textile Industry Association decided to integrate the Japanese cotton industry and increase its export competitiveness by linking “spinning-weaving-export merchants.”
