プロジェクト初年度の2021年度に、シナリオ実験法を用いてオンライン・アンケート調査を実施した。国際的ビジネスシーンのシナリオをいくつかの条件を操作して複数の作成し、各シナリオを異なる回答者グループに提示。提示された各場面で各回答者にどのような態度や行動をとるかレーティングしてもらう形式をとった。
２年目の2022年度は、得られたデータの初期分析を行ったが、あまり思わしい結果が得られず、研究成果を学会等で報告することができなかった。フィンランドHanken School of Economics のJennie Sumelius准教授が本プロジェクトの協力者になることに同意してくれたため、2023年３月に彼女を訪問し、本プロジェクトについて様々な議論をした。その結果、リサーチクエスチョンがこの研究に適したものではなかったのではないかということになった。
３年目の2023年度は新たなリサーチクエスチョンのもと、新たな分析手法を用いて再度データ分析をやり直す予定である。今のところ得られたデータからはまだ確固たる結果が出せていないが、2023年度に外部研究費（科研費等）に応募する際には、パイロット調査として位置づけることができるので、本研究を継続する意義は大いにあると考えている。
In 2021, the first year of this project, an online survey using experimental methods with scenarios was conducted. Several scenarios were created by manipulating various conditions from international business scenes. These scenarios were shown to survey respondents. In so doing, respondents were allocated into several different groups and each group was shown a particular scenario. The respondents were asked to rate how they would react to the situation depicted in the scenario.
In 2022, the second year of this project, I conducted initial analyses using the obtained data. However, the statistical results were not as expected. Hence, the statistical findings could not be developed into a full-fledged research paper to be reported at an academic conference. I consulted Associate Professor Jennie Sumelius, at Hanken School of Economics in Finland who agreed to cooperate with me on this project. In March 2023, I visited her and had numerous discussions about this project. In the end, we reached a conclusion that the research question I initially had and based upon which I conducted the statistical analyses may not have been suited for this project.
In 2023, the third year of the project, we plan to conduct a new data analysis using a analysis method under a new research question. Although I have not yet achieved solid results based on the data I gathered, I believe this project has been an important precursor to applying for and gaining an external competitive grant such as Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI). Hence, to continue with this project in the year 2023 is critical to me.
