科学論を中心に展開するブリュノ・ラトゥール（Bruno Latour, 1947-）の思想の諸側面を、彼の思想の根本にある哲学的発想との整合性を確認しながら体系的に捉え直すという、3年計画の目的の下、1年目の 2019 年度と2年目の2020年度は、ラトゥールの初期の重要著作である『パストゥール／微生物の戦争と平和』（Pasteur : guerre et paix des microbes, 初版は 1984 年）の第1部で展開される科学史的・科学社会学的な分析と、その第2部で表現される哲学的考察との関係を見極めるために多くの時間を割き、主に同書の分析と翻訳を行った。2021年度は、一旦ほぼ完成していた同書の翻訳原稿に何度も加筆修正を施し、訳者解題を付して、原稿を最終的に完成させた。現在、出版の準備を進めている。他方で、2019年度から参加していた「中動態」についての共同研究（責任者は理工学部の小野文准教授）の成果として、2021年度に、ラトゥールに関する論文を一本出版することかできた（『言語の中動態、思考の中動態』所収、「中動態は〈主体・客体〉構造の突破口になるのか？―ラトゥールの「出来事の超過された行為」を手掛かりに」）。この3年間を振り返ると、最も具体的な成果としてはラトゥールの重要著作の翻訳を挙げることができるが、ラトゥールの思想表現の全体をラトゥール哲学との関係から整合的に捉え直すという当初の目的に関しては、その準備が整ったという地点にようやく到達したとしか言えない。したがって、2022年度も同じ方向で研究を進めたいと考えている。
It was a three-year plan to systematically take up aspects of the thought of Bruno Latour (1947-), which revolves around science studies, while confirming its consistency with the philosophical ideas underlying his thought. In the first year and the second year, in 2019 and 2020, I spent a lot of time to analyze and translate one of Latour's first major books, "Pasteur: guerre et paix des microbes", first published in 1984, to determine the relationship between historical and sociological analysis of science developed in the first part of the book and the philosophical considerations developed in the second part. In 2021, the translation of the book, already almost completed, was revised and revised many times, and the manuscript was finally finished with explanations. Currently, preparations are underway for the publication of the book. On the other hand, as a result of the joint research on "middle voice" that I participated in from 2019 (the person in charge is Associate Professor ONO Aya of the Faculty of Science and Technology), I was able to publish a paper on Latour in 2021: "Is the middle voice a breakthrough in the subject-object structure? Considering through Latour's action overtaken by events". Looking back over the last three years, one of the most concrete achievements is the translation of a Latour's important work. But with regard to my original purpose of reconsidering the whole of Latour's expression of thought consistently in relation to his philosophy, I can only say that I have finally reached the starting point. Therefore, I would like to proceed with research in the same direction in 2022.
