本研究プロジェクトのトピックは「アニメ産業における日本とアジアの協働の実態と今日的変容」である。申請時の「事業計画」の予定通り、今年度は、当該トピックに係る文献調査を主に行った。具体的には、中国やインドを始めとしたアジア諸国・地域と日本との間のアニメ産業の協働・相互交流に関する書籍・論文等を収集するとともに、日本とアジアとの間で国際共同製作された（ている）アニメ作品の内容確認・情報収集も行った。日本とアジアとの間のアニメ作品の国際共同製作が近年活発化していることが明らかになった一方で、両者のアニメ産業関係者の相互交流の歴史は古く、「今日的」文脈に重点を置く本研究プロジェクトであっても、そのような歴史的背景を考慮に入れる必要があることが明らかになった。

加えて、類似の問題意識を持つ日本と中国の研究者とのネットワーキングも行い、それらの研究者と共同で、AAS-in-Asia学会にてラウドテーブル発表を行った。
This research project engages with the contemporary dynamics of Japan-Asia cooperation in the anime industry. As outlined in the 'business plan' section of the application form, this year was mainly devoted to reviewing the existing literature on this field. More specifically, I focused on better understanding the transnational collaborations/interactions in the anime industry between Japan and other Asian countries/regions, including China and India. I also investigated/collected the information on the anime titles that were (and are) co-produced between Japan and Asia. This year's research recognised that the Japan-Asia anime co-production has recently become more active, and that Japan and Asia have a long history of collaboration/interaction in this field. It suggests that the research project needs to take into account such a historical background, even though the project focuses on the contemporary context.
 
In addition, I developed my network with other like-minded researchers in Japan and China, and held a joint roundtable session at the AAS-in-Asia conference.
