科学論を中心に展開するブリュノ・ラトゥール（Bruno Latour, 1947-）の思想の諸側面を彼の思想の根本にある哲学との整合性を確認しながら体系的に捉え直すという三年計画の目的の下、一年目の 2019 年度と二年目の2020年度は、ラトゥールの初期の重要著作『パストゥール：微生物の戦争と平和』（Pasteur : guerre et paix des microbes, 初版は 1984 年）の第一部で展開される科学史的・科学社会学的な分析と、その第二部で表現される哲学的な考察との関係を見極めるために多くの時間を割き、同書の分析と翻訳を行った。第二部の訳は既に一応完成していたので、2020年度は第一部の翻訳を進め、年度末に一応完成した。現在、訳文の最終確認と解説文を執筆するための準備を進めており、2021年度中の出版を目指している。この著作における哲学と科学論の関係を正確に捉え、そのことを踏まえてラトゥールの他の科学論関係の著作にも分析対象を広げるというのが当初の2020年度の目標であったが、その計画は完全には達成されていない。その反面、2020年度の教養研究センターの基盤研究「文理連接プロジェクト」が「感染」というテーマを設定したことを受け、その一連の研究会に企画者の一人として関わることを通じて、ラトゥールの著作で扱われる19世紀末のパストゥールによるワクチンの研究・開発を、新型コロナウイルスとの関係においてより良く理解することに時間を割いた。三年目の2021年度は、ラトゥールの思想表現の全体をラトゥール哲学との関係から整合的に捉えるという当初の最終目的に少しでも接近したいと思っている。
In order to systematically take up aspects of the thought of Bruno Latour (1947-), which revolve around the science studies, while confirming its consistency with the underlying philosophy of his thought, I spent a lot of time, in 2019 and 2020, to analyze and translate Latour's first major book, "Pasteur: guerre et paix des microbes", first published in 1984, to determine the relationship between historical and sociological analysis of science developed in the first part of the book and the philosophical considerations developed in the second part. The translation of the second part having already been completed, I proceeded to the translation of the first part in 2020 and completed it at the end of the year. Currently, I am preparing for the final translation check and writing of the commentary, with the goal of publication by the end of 2021. The initial goal for 2020 was to accurately grasp the relationship between philosophy and science studies in this book, and to extend the scope of the analysis to other work related to the science studies of Latour on this basis, but this plan was not fully realized. On the other hand, as Keio Research Center for the Liberal Arts set the theme of the basic research "Humanities-sciences connection Project" for 2020 as "infection", participating in the study group series as a planner, I took the time to better understand the research and development of the vaccine by Pasteur at the end of the 19th century, which was dealt with in Latour's book, in relation to the covid-19. In 2021, the third year, I would like to address the initial goal of capturing all of Latour's thought expression in a coherent way in relation to his philosophy.
