本研究は，「＜グローバル化＞と社会統合に揺れるフランスにおける立憲主義の変容と深化」に焦点を当て，フランス公法学が立憲主義および法治国家原理に関してどのような理論的再構築を行っているか，人権論をどのように再構築し，統治機構の合理化のためにどのような取り組みを行っているかなど，多面的な視角から研究課題を追求した。

以上の研究を通じて解明し得たことは、(1)社会的変容に伴い提起されている制度上の変革についても今後の課題として認識されていること、（2）生命倫理分野においてもグローバルな視点からの検証を継続する必要があること、（3）立憲主義の現代的展開と適合的な統治構造については検討すべき課題が多いこと、である。
This research project focused on transformation and deepening of Constitutionalism in France, a country that faces a series of serious problems resulting from its globalization and difficulty of social integration. We adopted a multi-faceted approach to analyze the theoretical reconstruction of Constitutionalism and the Constitutional State, reconstruction the theory of Human Rights and the efforts to rationalize the governance structure in France.
Concretely, concerning the theoretical reconstruction of Constitutionalism and the Constitutional State, we have discussed the issues presented by the following reports,

In collaboration with European Centre for Studies and Research in Law and Health at the University of Montpellier, a symposium on "End-of-Life Care and the Law" was held.

Through the reports and the discussions that followed, we verified that: (1) The institutional changes that have been raised in line with social transformation are also recognized as future issues; (2) In the field of bioethics, it is necessary to continue verification from a global perspective; (3) The contemporary development of constitutionalism and adaptive governance structures have many issues to be clarified.
