本研究では、主に初級中国語の授業で使用する指定統一教材（主に大学１年生用）に関する一連の研究活動をおおよそ申請時の計画の通り実施することができた。研究期間においては、当研究チームのメンバーで定期的に研究会及び教材の編集会議を行ない、テキスト開発に関する考察や検討を行うと同時に、慶應義塾大学における授業等の教育の実践面で使用する新テキストの作成及び編集作業を進めた。またこの期間、中国語ネイティブの教員や国際漢語教育学の専門家にテキストの校閲と中国語の様々な表現に対するチェックや妥当性について、さらには近年の中国語圏の社会的情勢の反映がなされた語彙や口語表現の自然度や受容性についての研究協力を依頼した。本研究の成果により作成を目指す初級テキストは、現時点で70～80％の完成度に及んでいる。本テキストは本研究による成果を十分に踏まえ、今後、2020年度内に執筆を完成させ、21年度より、本塾の教育実践現場で統一テキストとして使用する予定である。その特徴は音声、語彙（文字）、文法等の言語要素の基礎を固める内容が中心に編成されるが、ネイティブ、非ネイティブを問わず、多くの授業担当者が使用できる汎用性の高いものである。ただ、その一方で、中国語の近年の社会や経済状況において生まれた新語や若者が多用する表現を多く採用し、また「CanDo リスト」や「タスク中心型の練習問題」などのコミュニカティブアプローチに応じた新しいタイプのインタラクティブな授業に適したテキストという性格も具える。中国語教育論を中心に、言語、文学、文化など様々な視点から、授業用テキストの伝統を踏襲しながら、慶應義塾の中国語初修者が着実に言語知識と言語運用の面で基礎力を固めるための新しいタイプのテキストを探求し、その土台を築くことができた点が、本研究の最大の成果であると言える。
A Re-examination of Basic Chinese Language Education: Development of Teaching Materials at Keio University

This study has achieved an implementation of a series of research activities, broadly as planned at the time of application, in relation to specified integrated teaching materials, chiefly for use in basic Chinese language education classes. During the period of this study, the research team members held regular research meetings. At the same time, progress was made with the editing of a new textbook for practical use in education, including classes at Keio University. Furthermore, during this period, research collaboration was requested in relation to proofreading and checking of various Chinese expressions and the appropriateness of the textbook by Chinese native-speaker teaching staff. The results of this study showed that the basic-level textbook, which is the objective of construction, has currently reached around 70~80% completion. We intend to complete writing the textbook within fiscal year 2020, taking the results of this study fully into account, and to utilize it as an integrated textbook in a practical educational setting from fiscal year 2021. The textbook's distinctive features are that it is chiefly organized around contents that consolidate fundamental language elements, and that it is highly versatile in order to enable use by a wide range of teaching staff, both native and non-native speakers. However, through the incorporation of many neologisms and expressions used by young people, it is also a textbook that is suitable for new styles of interactive classes, and is adaptable to a community approach. We have pursued a new type of textbook, while also following the traditions of textbooks for classroom use, in order to enable beginner learners of the Chinese language to steadily consolidate their fundamental abilities, from both aspects of linguistic knowledge and linguistic performance. The achievement of the construction of such a foundation is the greatest result yielded from this study.
