本研究は外国語としてのスペイン語（SFL）研究の一環であり、日本語母語話者によるスペイン語日常会話における割り込みの分析を行う。（１）第二言語における会話運用能力の学習過程でどのような技能が発達するのかと（２）第二言語での会話におけるターン構築パターンに第一言語がどのような影響を及ぼすのかを調査することを目的に、本研究は以下に説明する3段階で構成されている。

第一段階と第二段階では日本語を母語とするSFL学習者間の対話で構成される会話コーパスの作成を実施。コーパス作成、会話のトランスクリプションと分析は、社会言語学における中間言語研究に用いられる手法に基づいて行われている。コーパスは以下の3グループの会話から構成される。

・グループ１：ヨーロッパ言語共通参照枠（CEFR）A2レベルのスペイン語会話15組
・グループ２：CEFRB2レベルのスペイン語会話15組
・グループ３：日本語会話15組

第二段階(2019-2020)では、本計画の第一段階(2018-2019)に引き続きコーパスのデータ収集と作成が実施され、結果は以下の通りである。

（結果１）会話コーパスのデータ収集完了。2019年10月から12月にかけて実施。
・約430分の会話データを録音。内訳はSFLでの会話訳260分（グループ１の会話7組とグループ２会話14組）と日本語での会話約170分（グループ３の会話14組）となっている。
・会話録音は国内の大学に所属するSLF学生44人以上のインフォーマントを対象に実施。東京外国語大学、神戸外国語大学、京都外国語大学、上智大学の学生が参加。

（結果２）録音データのトランスクリプション作業一部完了。その他進行中。
・グループ１の会話5組(訳50分)とグループ３の会話１５組(約150分)に関しては簡易版トランスクリプションのみ完了。
・グループ２の会話８組(約８０分)に関しては、ELAN5.8（Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguisticsによる開発）を使用した会話分析に適した精度でのトランスクリプションまで完了。

分析作業の開始前ではあるが、トランスクリプション作業を通じて本研究に関連度の高い特徴も見受けられている。例として、先行研究で言及されている日本語会話のターンにおける「遅れた投射性」を可能にする韻律的あるいは統語的要素が、グループ１とグループ２両方の会話データから見つかっている。これは語用レベルで転移が発生している可能性に加えて明示的なL2会話学習の必要性を示唆している。
以上の結果を踏まえて、第三段階(2020-2021)を実行する予定。達成目標は以下の通りとなっている。
・会話分析用トランスクリプションの完了
・コーパスの分析
This project aims to describe and analyze interruptions in Spanish as a Foreign Language (SFL) casual conversations made by Japanese students. In order to clarify if the L2 proficiency level and the differences in the construction of conversational turns in Japanese and Spanish influence the conversational style of SFL Japanese learners, the design of this project includes the formation of a corpus of three groups of dyadic conversations hold by Japanese students of SFL:
- Group 1: 15 conversations in Spanish (A2 level)
- Group 2: 15 conversations in Spanish (B2 level)
- Group 3: 15 conversations in Japanese.

Subsequently to the formation of the corpus, the conversations will be transcribed and analyzed using a Sociolinguistic methodology for the study of the interlanguage variation.  

In this second stage of the research project, I have achieved the following goals:

Goal 1) Recordings of the conversations for the corpus, from October 2019 to December 2019. This task is now completed.
- I have recorded more than 430 minutes of conversations: about 260 minutes in SFL (7 conversations for group 1 and 14 conversations for group 2) and about 170 minutes in Japanese (14 conversations for group 3). 
- More than 44 informants of four different universities (Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Kobe City University of Foreign Studies, Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, Sophia University) participated in the study. 

Goal 2) Transcription of the recorded materials (ongoing):
- First pass transcription (non CA level):  5 conversations (over 50 min) of group 1 and 15 conversations (over 150 min) of group 3. This task is completed.
- Fine-grain transcription, subsequent to the first pass transcriptions (CA level, using the software ELAN 5.8 developed by the Max Plank Institute for Psycholinguistics):  8 conversations (over 80 min) of group 2. 

Although I have not yet begun the analysis of the data, from the transcriptions some considerations become relevant to this researcher. For instance, a number of the prosodic and syntactic features that constitute the late projectability of turns in Japanese conversation already discussed in the literature are also found in the conversation of SFL Japanese students of both proficency levels. This would point to a possible pragmatic transfer and suggests the need for explicit methods of teaching the conversational style in the L2.

For the next stage of the project (2020-2021), we plan to achieve the following goals:
- Completion of the CA-level transcription of the recordings.
- Analysis of the data.

In conclusion, we consider that the results of the second stage of the project are more than satisfactory and allow us to start the third stage.
