昨今、地域づくりにおける「場」の重要性に耳目が集まっている。場には、単に人が集まるという機能だけではなく、相互作用をもたらして、何らかの地域づくりに資する新しい活動や価値、すなわち社会的創発を生み出す可能性がある。しかし、効果的な場をどのように設計すべきかについてはこれからの段階である。
そこで、本研究では、プラットフォーム概念を中核に据えて、徹底したフィールドワークを敢行し、地域の課題解決に資する、効果的な場の具体的なデザインについて明らかにすることを目的としている。ここでいうプラットフォームとは、「多様な主体の協働を促進するコミュニケーションの基盤となる道具や仕組み」をいう。先行研究では、その設計においては、新しいつながりが常時生まれること、資源の結合が実現すること、参加するインセンティブがあることなどに配慮する必要があると論じられている。本研究では、比較事例研究の手法を用いて、空間、コンテンツ、マネジメントのデザインという観点から、効果的な場づくりの本質を考究する。
今年度は、まず、空間のデザインを考察するために、イタリア・トスカーナ州のCastelfranco PiandiscoにあるAlbergo Diffuso（分散型ホテル）を訪問し、経営者のインタビュー調査を実施した。複数の空き家などを再生した取り組みは、地域全体の価値を高め、さまざまな事業が生まれていることがわかった。そのために、資源の見極めと複数の担い手の確保・育成が鍵となることもわかった。さらに、コンテンツのデザインの考究のため、ピエモンテ州のBraにあるSlow Food運動のフィールド調査を行い、Pollenzoにある食科学大学（Università di Scienze Gastronomiche）を訪問し、食を地域資源にするための方策についてインタビュー調査、議論を行った。地産地消を中心として、資源を見出し、発信することで、事業が生まれ、地域への愛着が高まるという循環が理解できた。
今後は国内も含めてさらに事例研究を推し進め、場における社会的創発が生まれるプロセスを丹念に分析することで、効果的な場の設計における実践知の創造に貢献したい。
Nowadays, the importance of "BA (places to interact)" has attracted attention. There is a possibility that not only the function of gathering people but also interaction will bring about new activities and values that contribute to community development, that is, social emergence. However, it is hard to say that there is still sufficient discussion about how to design an effective "BA".
Therefore, the aim of this study is to clarify the concrete design of an effective "BA" that contributes to the solution of community problems by putting the platform concept at the core and carrying out thorough fieldwork.
The platform here refers to "tools and mechanisms that are the basis of communication that accelerates collaboration between various actors". Previous studies have argued that the design must be considered that new connections are always created, that resources are gathered together and combined, that there are incentives to participate, and so on. In this research, I study the essence of effective "BA" creation from the viewpoint of design of space, contents, and management, using the method of comparative case study.
This year, I visited Albergo Diffuso (distributed hotel) in Castelfranco Piandisco (Tuscany, Italy) and conducted an interview survey with the owner in order to consider the design of the space. The survey has revealed that efforts to renovate some unoccupied old houses increased the value of the entire community and created various businesses. Therefore, it was also found that resource identification and securing / development of multiple actors is the key point. In addition, to study the design of contents, I conducted a field survey of the Slow Food movement in Bra, Piemonte, and visited the "Università di Scienze Gastronomiche" in Pollenzo to make foods community's resources. Interview survey and discussion were conducted. Through finding and introducing resources from the concept of "local production for local consumption", I was able to understand fully the cycle in which businesses were born and attachment to the community was enhanced.
In the future, I would like to contribute to the creation of practical knowledge in effective "BA" design by conducting further comparative case studies, including some Japanese cases, and carefully analyzing the process of social emergence in "BA".
