慶應義塾における看護教育は、1918年の慶應義塾大学医学部付属看護婦養成所設立に始まり、2018年度に100周年を迎えた。
本年度までに、同窓会である紅梅会の会報と、歴代の卒業アルバムや行事写真等のおよそ110冊をデジタル化した。さらに、学校史料として、1917年の設置認可など、慶應看護の変遷に関わる資料を整理した。古い資料は、劣化も激しく、今後に向け、保存方法の検討とデジタル化を行った。これは、慶應義塾福澤研究センターの専門的な助言と看護医療学部図書室の鈴木、赤堀による。また、小池、朴、田村、安田、中尾、山内、藤井らは、資料の分類整理し、建物や教育、服装史等の慶應看護100年をまとめてきた。
2018年度は、小池、山内、田村により、1945年の空襲による火傷で入院された小泉信三元塾長への看護に関わった看護婦にインタビューした。同時に、太平洋戦時下の信濃町の空襲の様子も語られた。看護婦、医師らは、力を合わせ、患者を安全な病棟に移送した。爆弾が体の横を通る最中、担架をかつぎ、時に患者をおぶるなどして、避難したという。入院患者は一人の死者を出さず、極限状態において自らの命をかけて看護を全うした誇りが静かに語られた。1957年には、小泉信三元塾長より、慶應看護にで「愛スルモノハ強シ」という色紙を寄せていただいた。そのお言葉は、襟章の裏に刻まれた時代もあり、慶應看護の真髄として引き継がれることを示唆した。
慶應看護教育の名称は幾度となく変化してきたが、慶應看護は常に義塾の中で学びを深めてきた。本研究は、慶應看護の先人たちの足跡をたどり、次の世代に託す貴重な史実を明らかにした。湘南藤沢学会や慶應義塾出版会の協力による慶應看護100年史と写真集の完成、DMC統合研究センター制作による記念映像などの多くの尽力と、３年間の学事振興資金による補助により、慶應看護100年のアーカイブ化が遂行できた。
Nursing education in Keio University began in 1918 and marked the 100th anniversary this year.
We digitized more than 100 books, such as alumni bulletins, graduation albums and photo books. The old material was quite deteriorated. For this reason, we changed the preservation method.
In this year, we interviewed nurses of University president, Shinzo Koizumi's former nursing team in 1945. We heard about the hospital situation in Keio during the war. Nurses have been protecting patients for as long as possible during the war. There were also cases where the nurse carried the patient with Medical doctors and students. Nurses have valued patient safety more than their own lives
We have changed the education system many times, however we have always valued teaching in the Keio university. This research has traced the history of our nursing education and has become a valuable historical fact to entrust to the next generation.
Three years of continuous research allowed us to store and publish valuable materials.
