研究代表者は，本助成金を用いて，言語学的言語哲学の国際共同研究を，ミュンヘン大学ライス教授，ウィーン大学アブラハム教授らと研究を行った。研究の概要は以下のとおりである。

・ライス教授，アブラハム教授とともに2018年8月に行われたヨーロッパ言語学会（エストニア，タリン）で共同でワークショップ「Thetic and categorical judgment」を開催した。このテーマは，本研究の課題である「言語学的言語哲学」の展開の1つの方向性を扱ったものであった。

・2018年10月26日に行われた，オーストリア言語学会にて，「Eine an Universalität orientierte Textgrammatik: Satzaufbauprinzipien aufgrund der Thetik-Kategorik-Distinktion」（普遍性を志向するテクスト文法：単純判断と複合判断の区別に基づく文構成の原理）というテーマで研究発表を行った。この学会参加のための渡航費，滞在費は，本助成金で賄われるものであった。

・ライス教授，アブラハム教授とは，日独の共同研究の成果をまとめた論文集「Die Architektur von Thetik und Kategorik」をドイツのStauffenburg社から2019年度中に刊行する予定で編集を進めている。研究代表者は，編集の他，論文「‚Thetik/Kategorik' als funktionale Kategorie: Funktional-universale Satzstruktur」（機能的範疇としての単純判断と複合判断：機能的普遍的文構造について）を執筆している。

・本学文学研究科の担当ゼミナール「ドイツ語学研究I，II」において，ライス教授の著書である「言語学的言語哲学」を扱ったが，これについて院生と議論を重ねた。その議論に基づいて，2018年10月，2019年1月，2019年3月にライス教授と会合を持ち，議論を行った。この成果は，研究代表者が進めている同書の翻訳（ひつじ書房から，2020年初めの出版を予定）に生かされる予定である。
Tanaka (principal investigator of this research grant) carried out an international cooperation study on the linguistic philosophy of language with Prof. Leiss (LMU Munich) and Prof. Abraham (Univ. Vienna). The research activities of this year can be summarized as follows:

- Tanaka held a international workshop on "Thetic and categorical judgment" with Prof. Leiss, Prof. Abraham and other scholars at the annual meeting of Societas Linguistica Europaea (August 2019, Tallinn (Estonia)). The theme of the workshop dealt with an aspect of the linguistic philosophy of language, our research theme.

- Tanaka gave a lecture "Eine an Universalität orientierte Textgrammatik: Satzaufbauprinzipien aufgrund der Thetik-Kategorik-Distinktionat" at the annual meeting of austrian society for linguistics (26. October 2018, Innsbruck (Austria)). The costs for travel and stay for the meeting was covered by this grant.

- Tanaka was now preparing research proceedings for our Japanese-German cooperation study on the linguistic philosophy of language "Die Architektur von Thetik und Kategorik", which should be published in this fiscal year from Stauffeburg Verlag. Tanaka as a coeditor gives a contribution with a paper "Thetik/Kategorik' als funktionale Kategorie: Funktional-universale Satzstruktur".

- Tanaka dealt with "Linguistische Sprachphilosophie" by Prof. Leiss in a seminar at the graduate school of Keio University and had a lot of discussions with the participating students. Following this discussions, Tanaka had meetings on it with Prof. Leiss (October 2018, January and March 2019). The results will reflect in the translation of Leiss' book, which is now prepared to be published in the beginning of next year (Hitsuji-Shobou).
