本研究は、魯迅・周作人兄弟の日本人、日本文学との関わりを従来とは異なる角度から探求すること、周作人の日本プロレタリア文学運動との関係や新中国でのその反映を見ることを目的とした。また魯迅のデスマスクを採った奥田杏花の人物像を明らかにすることも目的とした。
周作人は対日協力の罪で戦後「漢奸」として投獄され後、新中国では魯迅研究や日本文学研究で業績を残した。その中に1951年の短文「宮本百合子」がある。これは1934年、日本のプロレタリア文学誌『文学評論』の周作人来日特集に関連し、百合子の訃報に対する周作人の反応であった。
本研究では周作人が「宮本百合子」を、1949年夏に講読し始めた『人民日報』のから情報を得て書いたこと、そこには中共に恭順の意を示す狙いもあったこと、さらにそれは周作人の五四期からの婦人問題、日本の女性作家への関心とも合致することを明らかにした。
同時にこの文章は、宮本百合子の夫、顕治が所謂コミンフォルム批判、日共50年分裂の渦中にいた時に書かれており、ここから周作人は日本、世界の同時代状況を的確に把握していたことが浮かび上がる。
一方、1981年、2005年版『魯迅全集』注は顕治と百合子を取り違えている。これは日中の国家関係、共産党関係の断絶が歴史記述に及ぼした端的な例であろう。
副次的ながら、本研究では新中国建国直前に胡適に第三者を介して国外脱出を勧められた周作人がこれを拒否したことを自ら証言しているのだが、その媒介者こそ、北京大学出身で陳独秀の最期を看取ったトロツキスト何之瑜であったことを、1949年の周作人日記と、筆者の従前の研究（『日吉紀要中国研究』第9号参照）から明らかにした。この点は周作人研究史に一石を投じるものである。
戦後の奥田杏花に関する長崎での調査は、魯迅研究家で医師の泉彪之助氏（2018年末逝去）の協力を得て、長崎新聞の当地での所蔵状況についてまでは調査すみであるが、残念ながら、同紙の閲覧までは実施に至らなかった。今後の課題としたい。
Lu Xun and his younger brother Zhou Zuoren had many Japanese friends and had a profound knowledge of Japanese literature.
One of my theme of this project was to clarify the process of Zhou Zuoren's short article "Miyamoto Yuriko". Miyamoto Yuriko was a famous leftist female writer.
I think I can conclude that he wrote it according to the articles on "People's Daily" in to order to protect himself from CCP government and that his interest of feminist issues through his life made it possible. And we can see when he wrote it, he grasped clearly the situation of the world communists movement, because he refereed to Yuriko's husband Miyamoto Kenji, who then was in the heart of a severe struggle in the JCP occurred by Cominform.
Moreover I found that the person who told Zhou Zuoren to leave PRC according to Hu Shi's request was He Zhiyu, who was Chen Duxiu's last secretary and a Trotskyist. Zhou Zouren's diary and Chen Daotong's thesis made it sure.
Another theme of this project to research Okuda Kyouka, who lived in Shanghai as a neighbor of Lu Xun. Though I found the library that has the materials about Okuda, but I could not read them yet. In the nearest future I will go to Nagasaki to research Okuda's articles on the local papers.
