本年度においても, 米国及び慶應義塾大学三田キャンパスのある港区で, 親子を対象とした経済実験を実施した。まず, 7月6日に, 共同研究者Vipul Bhatt氏のいる米国James Madison大学からの研究倫理委員会の承認が得られた。次に昨年同様, 実験場所である米国ウェストバージニア州の小さな町に出張し, Bhatt氏および田村輝之氏と共同で, 47ペアを対象に, 8月7-8日に実験を実施した。
次に, 1月20-21日, 3月10-11日に, 三田キャンパスで経済実験を行った。どちらの日程においても, 研究打ち合わせ及び実験担当のために, 共同研究者の中村亮介氏を福岡から招請した。また, 実験実施に際して11人の方をアルバイトとして雇用(または謝金での支払)をした。長時間にわたる実験の説明の前には, アルバイトに対して数回にわたり打ち合わせも行った。
得られたデータは, アルバイト4人による入力・整合性チェックに加え, 外部業者によるスキャン画像化を行った。スキャン画像化は, 実験結果の保管と後の整合性チェック作業の効率化のために必須である。
研究発表としては, 過去に日本で行った同様のデータを分析した結果を論文にまとめて, 6月にFirst Meetings of the Society of Economics of the Household (San Diego)において共同研究者の中村氏が, 9月の日本経済学会(青山学院大学)において共同研究者の田村輝之氏が, それぞれ研究発表を行った。
We conducted economic experiments at Mita campus and in a small town in West Virginia, US. US experiment was done on August 8th and 9th on 47 parent-child pairs with our collaborators, Vipul Bhatt and Teruyuki Tamura, after the approval of James Madison University. Then we conducted similar experiments at Mita campus on Jan. 20-21th, and March 10-11th. Our collaborator, Ryosuke Nakamura, was invited from Fukuoka, and 11 assistants were employed to support the experiment. The data were processed and cleaned by 4 assistants, and the experiment result sheets were made to PDF file by an outside agent. We presented out research paper based on the data obtained from previous experiments at First Meetings of the Society of Economics of the Household (San Diego) in June by Ryosuke Nakamura, and at Japan Economic Association Annual Meeting (Aoyama Gakuin U.) in September by Teruyuki Tamura.
