「文脈と方法としての『つながり』の技術」を通底するキーワードは「言語空間」である。「言語空間」とはメッセージを伝え合う場であり、言語を介して人間のつながりを作る場でもある。メッセージの伝達は対面状況だけではなく、IT 技術を介した、時間と空間を共有しない状況も含まれる。本稿では、人、言語、IT によるネットワークがヒューマンセキュリティの構築に資するという考え方のもとに、実践知を育む文脈をどのように形成していくかという総合政策学的なテーマを扱う。
　　This paper presents research activities by the three teams in the “Network Technology as Context of Society and as Methodology of Social Science” group, which are “Construction and Management of Information Platforms” Team, “Language Policy as a ‘Basis of Human Security’”Team, and “Web Social Research Methodology Development: Socio-Semantics” Team. All teams share the “language space” concept, which is a place of message exchange and network creation by language. Discussions on transmission of information refer to both face-to-face communication and IT facilitated communication where sender and receiver are separated. Based on the idea that “networks involving people, language, and IT contribute to human security development,” we address the policy
management studies theme of context formation for practical knowledge cultivation.
