近代経済学には「希少資源の最適配分の理論」という定義がある一方で, 「マルクス経済学(科学的社会主義)」にはエンゲルスが『空想から科学へ』で示した「社会主義は史的唯物論と剰余価値学説の発見によって科学となった」との「定義」がある。この両定義は互いに矛盾するものでないから, その重複領域は成立しうる。「近代経済学でもマルクス経済学でもある領域」となる。ここではその試みとして筆者を中心とする研究グループが開拓した「マルクス派最適成長論」を紹介する。
Although modern economics holds definitions such as a "theory of optimal allocation of scarce resources," Marxian economics (scientific socialism) holds a definition described as "socialism has become a science through the discovery of historical materialism and the theory of surplus value," highlighted by Engels in his book "The Development of Socialism from Utopia to Science."
 Since both definitions do not contradict each other, there should be an overlapping area. 
This area is both modern economics and Marxian economics. 
This study introduces, as an attempt to define the mentioned area, the "Marxian Optimal Growth Model," developed by a research group led by the author of this study.
