看護医療学部の教育の国際化においては, 本学部学生が海外で学習・活動する機会は充実している。しかし, 留学生の通年教育への受け入れは困難な状況にある。本学部では, 2016年度に試験的に短期留学受け入れプログラムを実施し, 韓国・中国・英国から計16名の学生を受け入れ, 本学部からも同人数の学生が参加し, 参加学生からは高い評価を得た。そこで本研究では, 看護教育における短期留学生受け入れ国際交流プログラムの効果について明らかにしていくことを目的として実施した。
2017年度の国際交流プログラムには, 前年度の韓国・中国・英国の3カ国に加え米国も加わり4ヶ国19人と本学部学生の20人の計39人が参加し, 2018年2月4日から9日にグローバルリーダー養成を含めた内容で実施した。
国際交流プログラムの計画・立案に合わせて, 参加大学(韓国 : 乙支大学, 中国 : 復旦大学, 英国 : サフォーク大学, 米国 : ワシントン大学)の関係者とも本研究について検討し, 共同研究として本研究を進めていくことが提案され, その方向で研究を進めることになった。そのため, 本年度は, 本調査の準備期間として関係者へのインフォーマルなインタビューや予備調査として研修後アンケートを実施し, その結果に基づき, 2018年度開催予定の国際交流プログラムにおいて, プログラム効果の本調査を実施することになった。本年度のアンケート結果では, プログラム全体への評価や満足度は非常に高かった。学生は特に専門分野である看護における各国の相違点に関心が高く, 特に留学生は在宅看護への関心が高いことがわかった。
また, 来年度の調査に向けて, プログラム効果の測定方法として, プログラム参加学生の開始前と終了後の変化を測定することになり, 言語や文化が異なっても用いることができる適切な尺度(セルフ・エスティーム, セルフ・エフィカシー, レジリエンス等)についての検討を開始した。
In the global and international education of the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care in Keio University opportunities for the students to study and practice abroad are enriched.However, it is difficult to accept foreign students for full-year education.The Faculty conducted a short-term international exchange program hort-term study on a trial basis in 2016/17. We accepted a total of 16 students from Korea, China and the UK, and the same number of students our the faculty also participated, and the program received the high evaluation from the students. Therefore, we started this reseach to aim to clarify the effecst of short-term international exchange program in nursing education.
In the international exchange program of 2017/18, in addition to the three countries of Korea, China and the UK in the previous year, the United States participated, a total of 39 people including 19 from 4 countries and 20 of Keio nursing students. We carried out with contents including global leader training on February 4 to 9, 2018.
In collaboration with the planning and planning of the international exchange program, we also discussed the plan of this study with the staff of participating universities (Korea : Eulji of University, China : Fudan University, UK : University of Suffolk, USA : University of Washington) It was suggested that we advance the research with collaboration.
Therefore, this year considered as a preparatory period for this research, we conducted the post-program questionnaire and informal interviews and related investigation to the stakeholders. Based on this results, we decided to conduct a main research of effects of the international exchange program scheduled to be held in 2018/19.
In the questionnaire results by the students of this year, the evaluation and satisfaction with the whole program were very high. The students were particularly interested in the differences between countries in nursing and it was found that foreign students were particularly interested in home nursing.
In addition, as a measure of the program effect toward the next year's program, we decided to measure changes before and after the program among the participating students. We began considering and searching appropriate measures (self-esteem, self-efficacy, resilience etc.) that can be used even though languages and cultures are different.
