Abstract |
We present a realization of the experiment on the Lorentz force that is appropriate for undergraduate students. We formulate the experiment so that the meaning is clear even for the students in humanities and social sciences. In particular, the neodymium magnet is introduced insted of a coil to generate the magnetic field. In addition, the Lorentz force is measured as the force on the electric current by the magnetic field. We also introduce an experiment on the electric field by using conductive papers and that on the Ampère's law by using a Tesla meter.
