The present study attempts to give an example of analyzing the connections between the two kinds of religious practitioners (shaman and priest)  and the situation of patrilineal lineage in a village community of Miao in Guizhou Province, Southwest China, which is as an unit of exogamy. In the first part of this study, it was the exposition about the folk concept on related matters. The second part reached the conclusion through the concrete contrast,  how the practitioners are relevant to social organization and kinship. The third section  gave a description of the ability and function of both of kinds of practitioners in rituals, especially the each steps of funeral.
 The most significance in this study is that an illustration has been discovered, that the two kinds of religious practitioners,  who only belong to lineages that is not the early settler into the village, are named the same as "ashan", by local people. And the distribution of the two kinds of practitioners in lineages revealed the relationship of power between each "ze", which is the patrilineal lineage (descent group) of Miao in the village. Moreover,  it is developed to the research on religion of Miao that both the data and argument in this paper are  about the practitioners and their spiritual power in respective rituals.
