本研究の目的は日本トップリーグに所属する女性アスリートの出産後の競技復帰支援モデルの確立である。2020東京オリパラでスポーツへの関心が期待されるなか、特に女性アスリートのキャリア支援は今後重要な課題となる。
 研究は国立スポーツ科学センター（以下、JISS）の女性アスリート支援プログラムを地域で展開するしくみについて検討している。JISSでは出産後の定期診断、心理、栄養、リハビリなどスムーズな競技復帰を目指した支援が実施されている。しかし、物理的に通うことが困難なアスリートは対象にならず、ごく少数のアスリートしか対象になりえないことから汎用性の低い事業と言える。そこで本研究ではJISSと連携し三重県鈴鹿市のハンドボールクラブの女性アスリートを対象とし、次の２つの観点で設計、JISS以外の地域において競技復帰をスムーズにするような取り組みを行った。
１）女性アスリートの心理支援（競技復帰の過程での様々な悩みをインタビュー）
２）出産から競技復帰の女性アスリートをクラブ全体で支援するためコーチングスタッフやチームメイトのライフスキルを高めるプログラムを実施しその変容を計測（2018年・2019年で計測）。
その結果、次の2点が示唆された。
（１）女性アスリートは子育てに関する行政のサービスを最大限に活用しながら競技復帰を果たした。これまで行政や社会そのものにつながる機会はほとんどなく、心理的不安から子育てのための行政サービスを活用するのは予想以上に時間を要した。
（２）女性アスリートの子育てと競技の両立は、時間の効率化や目標設定の具現化などライフスキルが高まる傾向が見られた。さらにチームメイトにとっては今後のキャリアを意識するうえで良い機会となった。クラブ全体のライフスキルの獲得レベルが有意に向上し、4年連続で全体のトップ4に入りプレイオフ進出を決めるなどチーム全体のライフスキルと競技力が向上した。

The purpose of this study is to establish the return-to-play-support-model after childbirth for the female athletes who belong to Japanese top League. While the growing interests in sports is expected due to the holding of 2020 Olympics and Paralympics, career supports for female athletes should be one of the particularly crucial issues from now on.
With this in mind, we tried to examine the systems which enable the female athletes to apply the support program such like Japan Institute of Sports Science (Hereinafter referred to JISS) had developed at the regional level. 
Cooperation with JISS, we conducted the study to design the system to provide smooth return for the female players who are based in the local area other than the one JISS exists. The objects of this study were the members of the handball club in Suzuka City. The research was examined from the following two perspectives.
 1)Mental supports for female athletes 
 2)To execute the life skill program to the team so that the player could be supported by the whole members after her giving birth and measure their changes of awareness over two years.

As a result, we attained two implications as follows.
(1) The female athlete succeeded in making come back by utilizing the administrative service to the maximum. However, it took much more time than she had imagined because of the psychological anxiety about use of the service for raising children.
(2) Balancing of childcare and sport had the life skill abilities of the said player improve. (such as Efficient time management and Realization of goalsetting) Moreover, it was the good opportunity for her team mates to be conscious about their own future career plans, and their level of life skills increased significantly .Eventually, their level of life skills and the competition abilities were elevated as one team and they reached the finals as the top four in the league for four consecutive years.
