2018年度の研究テーマは「ダイナミック・ケイパビリティ・ベースの戦略経営論の研究」であった。

今日、多くの研究者がダイナミック・ケイパビリティ論に注目しているが、その内容は難解だといわれている。この難解なダイナミック・ケイパビリティ論の内容を明らかにするためには、三つのルーツにさかのぼる必要がある。すなわち、（１）企業の理論、（２）戦略経営論、そして（３）多国籍企業論である。

今年は、それぞれのルーツに従って、ダイナミック・ケイパビリティの研究を行った。
そして、その研究成果を、私は、著書、雑誌、学会報告、講演などで公表した。それらの研究成果は、以下のように要約できる。

（１）	まず、戦略経営論分野は、ポーターの競争戦略から始まった。その限界を明らかにして登場してきたのが、資源ベース理論である。そして、この資源ベース理論を批判することによって登場してきたのが、ダイナミック・ケイパビリティ論である。これらの流れを明らかにした。

（２）	次に、企業の理論分野では、垂直的統合問題について、これまで取引コスト理論による説明が主流であった。しかし、その理論では説明できない企業行動がある。そして、それを説明するのが、ダイナミック・ケイパビリティ論であることを明らかにした。

（３） 最後に、多国籍企業論分野では、これまでなぜ企業は多国籍化するのかをめぐって、取引コスト理論による説明が中心であった。しかし、取引コスト理論では、企業が多国籍化した後の持続的競争優位を維持するための国際マネジメントについては説明できない。これについて説明しようとしているのが、ダイナミック・ケイパビリティ論であることを明らかにした。

引き続き、ダイナミック・ケイパビリティ論の研究を進める予定である。
2018 Fiscal Year, my research theme was "Studies on Dynamic Capabilities based Strategic Management".

Today, many researchers are paying attention to dynamic capabilities based view, but it is said to be difficult to understand the content and the meaning. In order to clarify them, we need to go back to the following three roots. That is, (1) theory of the firm, (2) strategic management theory, and (3) multinational firm theory.

This year, I conducted studies on dynamic capabilities according to their respective roots. And I published the research results in books, magazines, conference reports, lectures, etc. These research results can be summarized as follows.

(1) First, the field of strategic management theory began with Porter's competitive strategy. Clarifying its limitations, resource-based view appeared. Then, by criticizing the view, dynamic capabilities based view has emerged. I made these historical flows clear.

(2) Next, in the field of theory of the firm, transaction cost economics has been the mainstream of vertical integration problems. However, there are firm behaviors that cannot be explained by the theory. And I made it clear that these vertical integrations can be explained by the dynamic capabilities based view.

(3) Finally, in the field of multinational firm theory, the explanation by transaction cost economics was mainly about why a firm became multinational. However, the theory cannot explain international management to maintain a sustainable competitive advantage after a firm has become multinational. I explained that dynamic capabilities based view tried to explain the problem.

I will continue studies on dynamic capabilities based strategic management.
