ジャン=リュック・ゴダール監督の作品における「歌」について, 重要な楽曲提供者および出演者に焦点を当てる研究を行った。ゴダールやフランソワ・トリュフォーの映画にいくつかの重要な楽曲をを提供した, 作詞家・作曲家・画家であるセルジュ・レズヴァニと, フランスを代表する歌手の一人であり, ゴダールにもインスピレーションを与えた歌手ギィ・ベアールについての調査を行った。歌の分析を通してゴダールの映画美学の変遷を探るとともに, フランスのミュージカル映画史におけるゴダールの独自性について考察した。
ゴダールのかつてのパートナーであり, ゴダールの長篇映画のうち計7本に出演した女優・歌手であるアンナ・カリーナについての調査を行った。ゴダールが見出した彼女のミュージカル女優としての資質が, のちにピエール・コラルニックおよびジャック・リヴェットなど他の監督の映画においてどのように活かされているかを分析した。
フランスのミュージカル映画に使用されている歌の歌詞に着目し, 日本語訳の作成をおこなった。担当しているフランス語の授業では, 進度に合わせてゴダール, トリュフォー, ジャック・ドゥミ, ジャック・リヴェットの映画のミュージカル・シーンを使用することで, リスニング力の涵養および文法事項の定着に役立てた。授業での実践を通して, フランス語教育において映画を効果的に使用し, 学生のフランス語習得およびモチベーションの維持に役立てる方法について考察を深めた。
こうした調査の成果の一端は, 「シャンソンで辿るヌーヴェル・ヴァーグ—フランス映画とフランス語教育」と題された論文にまとめた。
また, 2018年5月12日土曜日に大阪大学で開催される第31回シャンソン研究会では, ミュージカル女優としてのアンナ・カリーナに焦点を当てた研究発表を行う予定である。
I investigated "songs" in Jean-Luc Godard's work, focusing mainly on important collaborators in his movie career. Firstly, I examine songwriter/composer/painter Serge Rezvani, who provided some important songs to both Godard and Truffaut films. Secondly, Guy Béart, one of French leading singers, who inspired Godard. Then I explored the transition of Godard's movie aesthetics the films' songs, and examined Godard's uniqueness in French musical film history.
Finally, I did a research on Anna Karina, a former partner of Godard, an actress and singer who appeared in seven of his films, the contributions of her talents as musical actress to those films. It is noteworthy that Godard uncovered and encouraged the development of her talents, and how she went to to contribute to the films of other directors, mainly Pierre Koralnik and Jacques Rivette.
I also focused on lyrics of songs used in French musical films, and translated them into Japanese. In my French class, I used the musical scenes from films by Godard, Truffaut, Jacques Demy and Jacques Rivette, in order to develop students' listening skills and to review important grammatical points. Through the practice in the class, I examined how to use movies effectively in French language education and how to motivate students thereby. A part of the results of these surveys is summarized in a paper entitled "Chansons in Nouvelle Vague and how to use them in the French language classes". Also, at the 31st conference of Chanson Study Group to be held at Osaka University on May 12, 2018, I plan to hold a research presentation focusing on Anna Karina as a musical actress.
