本研究は, フランツ・リスト Franz Liszt(1811-1886)の宗教音楽における彼の死生観を究明することを目的とする。今年度も引き続き《アッシジの聖フランチェスコの太陽賛歌》について調査を進めた。昨年, リストにとっては, 音楽による救済こそがこの作品の最終的なテーマであり, 最後の節に作曲をしなかったのは, 死によって作品を閉じることは彼の死生観からして難しかったというひとつの推察を提示した。このことは, この曲のピアノ伴奏による最終稿においても, 内容的に同様であることが確認された。
さらに本年度は, 《詩編129》についての本格的な調査に取りかかった。《詩編129》は, 死者のためのミサ典礼の典礼文による, 最晩年の作品である。独唱稿を作曲したのち, 未完成に終ったオラトリオ《聖スタニスラウスの伝説》用に, バリトン独唱と男声合唱のための稿が作られた。後者は充実した先行研究があるものの, 独唱稿の研究はいまだに進んでいない。そんな中, ヴァイマルのゲーテ・ウント・シラー・アルヒーフには, これまで言及されてこなかった手稿譜があることが突き止められた。その楽譜テクストは, 現在普及している版には反映されておらず, その意味でもきわめて重要な手稿譜であることが明らかとなったのである。信憑性の高い楽譜テクストを基に, さらに《詩編129》とリストの死生観の関係をさぐって行きたい。
This research aims to investigate his view on death and life in religious music by Franz Liszt (1811-1886). This year the investigation on "Cantico del sol di San Francesco d'Assisi" was continued. Last year the following speculation was presented : just the salvation by music is the main theme of this work, and the reason why he did not compose the music to the last section is that it was difficult because of his view on death and life for him to close the work. This was confirmed to be true in content also in the final version of this work for the vocal and piano accompaniment.
In addition, this year, I began a fundamental survey on Liszt's "Psalm 129". This work in his later years was composed to the liturgical text for the Mass for the dead. After the version for solo voice, the one for baritone solo and male chorus was composed for the unfinished oratorio "St. Stanislaus". Although the latter has the substantial precedent research, it is the present condition that the investigation of the solo vocal version still has not yet been advanced. Meanwhile, it was founded that Goethe und Schiller Archiv in Weimar preserves manuscripts that has not been mentioned so far. It was revealed that the version is not reflected in the currently popular edition of this work and therefore it is a very important manuscript. Based on the authentic version, I would like to further go through the relationship between "Psalm 129" and the list of death and life views.
