| Abstract |
生活習慣病は今や社会的な問題であり、失明原因の上位を占める糖尿病網膜症・加齢黄斑変性など、眼科領域でも注目される疾患を含む。生活習慣病の危険因子に肥満・高脂肪食があり、これらは糖尿病網膜症・加齢黄斑変性のリスクファクターとして知られるが、その網膜疾患との関連についてはまだあまりよくわかっていない。そこで、本研究では、マウスに高脂肪食を摂取させ網膜への影響を、分子レベルで解析した。全身血中および網膜における炎症性サイトカインシグナルについて、解析を行った。
Recent increase in the prevalence of metabolic syndrome, which includes vision threatening diseases such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration, is a social issue. Metabolic syndrome includes obesity and high fat diet, which are also known risk factors of diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. However, the underlying mechanisms of the relationship between obesity and high fat diet, and retinal diseases were still obscure. In this study, we analyzed the influence of high fat diet in the retina of mice; we evaluated systemic and retinal inflammatory cytokines.
