| Abstract |
悪性グリオーマの強い浸潤能と悪性度を規定する分子シグナルを同定し、それらに基づく新たな治療戦略を構築することを目的として研究を行った。具体的には : (1) 腫瘍細胞が正常脳内に浸潤する様子を可視化するアッセイを確立し、浸潤パターンを検証した。(2) 浸潤能が高い腫瘍細胞は間葉系の性質が強く、その抑制が浸潤能を有意に軽減させることを証明し、候補薬剤を取得した。また、腫瘍細胞が正常血管の内皮細胞を巻き込みながら浸潤を続けている現象を見出し、その現象を評価するアッセイを構築した。(3) 現行治療の一環である反復放射線照射に対する抵抗性が獲得される過程を解析し、主要な規定因子の一つを同定した。
