Abstract 
神経堤幹細胞は成体の皮膚や骨髄から回収でき、また神経細胞へ分化するため、損傷脊髄に対する移植細胞の供給源として期待される。本研究では、マウス脊髄損傷モデルに神経堤幹細胞を移植したところ、移植細胞は損傷脊髄内で生着し、神経細胞へ分化することが明らかになった。また移植細胞は腫瘍化せず、神経堤幹細胞移植の安全性も確認された。さらに霊長類であるサルや人からも神経堤幹細胞の回収に成功した。
