| Abstract |
レアメタルの一種である希土類化合物に対して，その形態をナノスケールで制御することにより，おもに表面を活性化して新しい機能を付与することに成功した。酸化セリウムでは，その形状をナノキューブ状およびナノニードル状に作り分けることで，賦活された希土類イオンの発光を制御することができ，酸化イットリウムではマクロポーラスな形状とすることで，粒子内部表面を有効利用した発光特性が得られた。
