本論文では，原価企画における目標原価達成プロセスでの先端的取り組みとして，富士ゼロックスの事例から，原価企画における目標達成管理を推進するコストチーム編成，目標達成管理の活動フロー，目標設定と細分割付（活用ツール：原価構成表，目標達成見通しツインチャート），目標達成管理のPDCA サイクル：「シナリオ策定」，「シナリオ具現化」の取り組みと主要な目標原価達成活動（ベンチマーク手法による改善，改善検討会など），原価見積・評価・検証（3 つの原価見積の組合せ：設計見積，コストテーブルによる見積，取引先見積），目標原価未達要因と対策，未達時の対応，量産製造段階の目標達成管理について紹介する。
