| Abstract |
中央銀行デジタル通貨（CBDC: central bank digital currency）の中でも，「一般利用型CBDC」は，企業や家計など幅広い経済主体が利用することを想定した中央銀行が発行するデジタルな決済手段であり，銀行券などの現金通貨だけでなく，普通預金などの銀行預金とも密接な代替関係にある。本論文では，一般利用型CBDCを活用し，ある種のナローバンクを構築することで，決済システムの安定性を確保しつつ，市場機能を活用した金融仲介機能の発展を促し，金融システム全体を活性化させていく方向性を展望する。
General-purpose central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), which can be used by a wide range of economic entities such as corporations and individuals, are highly substitutable for banknotes and deposit currencies. This paper explores the direction for revitalizing the financial system by making full use of general-purpose CBDCs to a kind of narrow banks, thereby ensuring the stability of the payment and settlement system and promoting market-based financial intermediary functions.
