| Abstract |
「デジタルものづくり」の拠点として始まったファブラボの、存在意義の再定義が進められている。デジタルデータから「もの」がつくられるようになったということは、すなわち、ものの輸送がデジタルデータの転送に置き換えられるということであり、また地域のファブラボが身近な素材やリサイクル材を活用した地産地消を促すことは、循環型社会や自給自足型都市の流れに結実しつつある。単に「ものを増やす」のではなく、必要最小限の適量のものをつくりながら、まち全体の構成をリデザインしようとすることが、ファブラボが新たに掲げる方向である。本稿はその中心概念である「ファブシティ」について、SDGsとの関連において述べる。
