Abstract
Absorption, fluorescence and fluorescence excitation spectra of rhodamine B at the concentration between 10⁻³ and 10⁻⁶ mol/l are examined in the solutions of ethanol, acetic acid and water. In the case of ethanolic solutions, influence of pH on the absorption spectra of rhodamine B is also examined. From the obtained experimental results, some explanations to clarify lasing mechanisms of rhodamine B dye laser are presented.
