Abstract 
申請者らは、炎症性腸疾患の炎症部位で腸炎惹起性CD4+メモリーT細胞のクローン間競合(clonal competition)により病態形成がなされていると仮説し、以下の項目を示した。
① 炎症惹起性メモリーT細胞間のTh1/Th17干渉現象の存在と病態形成への寄与
② 腸炎状態で、腸管内でTh17→Th17/Th1→Th1(Alternative) という分化経路の存在
③ 制御性T 細胞はこのAlternative pathwayを抑制する事
以上よりAlternative pathwayの阻害が新規治療標的の候補であると考えられた。
