本稿は，戦後日本で展開した「蚊とはえのいない生活実践運動」について，阪急電鉄が建設した武庫之荘住宅地を事例に，地域社会の視点から検討したものである。主に「近代家族」から成る武庫之荘住宅地では，家内領域を担う女性が「蚊とはえのいない生活実践運動」を主導すべきであると公共領域を担う男性から認識されたものの，「近代家族」であるがゆえに各世帯の独立性が高く，女性の組織化は困難であった点を明らかにした。
This article examines one of the new life movement, "better life without mosquitoes and flies" in post-war Japan from the perspective of the local community. Residents of the Mukonoso Residential Area, which was built by the Hankyu Corporation, suffered from mosquitoes and flies which came from the surrounding farming villages. In the Mukonoso Residential Area, which was inhabited mostly by modern families, men, as actors in the public sphere, determined that women, as actors in the domestic sphere, should deal with this problem. However, it was difficult for women to actively participate in these local community issues because women who were responsible for domestic duties and were therefore busy with housework and childcare.
