1944年9月7日, 中国雲南省の高黎貢山系の南端にある拉孟で, 約1300名の日本軍第56師団第113連隊主力の拉孟守備隊が全滅した。本稿は, 100日間の戦闘の後, 全滅に至った拉孟守備隊の戦闘について, 連合軍側の一次史料, 拉孟守兵の生存者のオーラル・ヒストリー(聞き取り)及び手記による実証的な方法を用いて, 「公刊戦史」の史実とは異なる拉孟守備隊全滅戦闘の実像を明らかにする。
On September 7th, 1944 in Ramo, located on the southern end of the Gaoligong mountain range at China's Yunnan Province, approximately 1,300 soldiers of the Garrison of Ramo, constituting the main force in the Japanese Army's 56th division 113th regiment, were totally annihilated. 
This study depicts the 100 days leading to the total destruction of the Garrison of Ramo, showing a different picture of the battle leading to the annihilation of the Garrison of Ramo from historical facts as described in "Koukan Senshi." 
To this end, this study uses an empirical method from primary sources from the Allied Army, oral history (interviews) with surviving Ramo guards and their notes.
