Abstract
Today it is widely thought that the notion of leibnizian possible world plays a counter-factual model role in the philosophical system of Leibniz. For example, Prof. Hide Ishiguro suggests a possible world branching model based on Lewisian counterpart theory. In this paper I will focus on the problem of interpreting the ontological status of possible worlds. I argue that there is no textual basis for Ishiguro's suggestion. In conclusion, I propose a possible world preceding theory following Theodicy.
