| 抄録 |
Since human ability to process information has its limitations, over-stimulation would result in meatal disorders. Man however discriminates between information which should be processed and which should not be processed by using frameworks for evaluation, i.e., "attitudes", in order to involve him-/herself in society. Similarly, a "culture" selects among the alien innovations that are endlessly pressing in on it by using "cultural contexts" to maintain itself. This paper states that individuals and cultures have "attitudes" and "cultural contexts" respectively to simplify information processing and that this hypothesis is based on homeostatic mechanisms.
