| Abstract |
The main problem which I discuss in this paper, is on what I am. To approach to the problem, I have tried to examine the two concepts; that is, consciousness and life. My tentative results are following: 1. The consciousness is primary existence in the nature. The things in the nature are secondary existence in comparison with the consciousness, however, they exist objectively and are not simply phenomenal events. 2. Two of the principal functions of consciousness are memory and selection. 3. The extensions of consciousness and life are same in principle.
