Abstract
I have tried in this paper to discuss Professor Sawada's "Microethics and Macro-ethics" and make some objections against his two assertions in his article: that there are some plausible reasonings from factual propositions to value propositions under some circumstances; and that the so-called naturalism in ethics will be thrown into an entirely novel context of ethics that makes evolution of ethical system from micro-ethics to macro-ethics possible. Professor Sawada's article seems to consist of three parts: 1. an introduction; 2. development of reasonings from factual propositions to value propositions; 3. his proposal to macro-ethics in -distinct from micro-ethics. By dealing with Professor Sawada's assertions in this order, I find that his reasonings presuppose some hidden premises which include value propositions, and that his attempt to shift from micro-ethics to macro-ethics does not make any difference to the issue between naturalism and non-naturalism.
