| Abstract |
The catechism of the Noh Drama contains many questions and answers of training which are the lessons for the learner. In the catechism the learners find their lessons to learn, the problems to solve, the methods to use and the goal to attain. They learn their lessons by their mind-body training. The present thesis takes up eleven lessons from the seventh chapter of 'Kwadensho' and examines the logical and psychological aspects of the catechism. In our conclution we see Zeami's ethical theory of training in which he says, "train hard, but do not be selfish".
