物権法改正の基礎となる理論研究として、平野は物権法定主義、共有論、金山は占有論を中心に研究を進めてきた。
2019年度は、平野・金山両者とも、慶應義塾大学において開催されている「高齢社会・人口減少社会に関する研究会」(責任者は、吉田克己北大名教授)に参加し、物権法を超えてより広い学識を深めた。同研究会では、会員による私法学会のシンポジウム報告(「不動産所有権の今日的課題」（責任者：吉田克己教授）)に向けて「私法学会準備研究会」を3回にわたって行い、そのほか、「財産管理」班、「人」班、「居住・コミュニティ」班、「総論ユニット」のそれぞれの報告、国内外の招聘教授の講演と質疑応答を行った。ただし、2020年3月に予定されていたドイツ人教授の講演は、コロナウィルスの影響により中止になった。これらの研究と並行して、平野・金山は下記の学術書や論文を公にしている。
平野は、物権法・担保物権法についての考える問題集、事例問題集を執筆するとともに、物権法の裏面ともいうべき不当利得法も含めて事務管理・不当利得・不法行為についての詳しい教科書を執筆している。長年にわたる本助成金のおかげで、日本評論社から出版している民法シリーズは。民法総則から不法行為法まですべて完結したことになる。
Hirano has been conducting research mainly on the statutory law on property rights and sharing theory, and Kanayama has been conducting research on occupation theory as the theoretical research that forms the basis of the revision of the law.
In fiscal 2019, both Hirano and Kanayama participated in the "Study Group on Aging Society and Population Declining Society'' held at Keio University (responsible by Professor Katsumi Yoshida Kita Daimyo), I deepened my wide knowledge. The study group held three private law society preparatory study meetings for members to report on the symposium of the private law society ("Problems of real estate ownership today" (Professor: Katsumi Yoshida)). We reported on the "Property Management" group, the "People" group, the "Residence / Community" group, and the "General Unit". However, the German professor's lecture scheduled for March 2020 was canceled due to the effects of the coronavirus. In parallel with these studies, Hirano and Kanayama have published the following academic books and papers.
