研究計画1年目にあたる2018年度はミゲル・ピサロの手稿のうち、著作（詩と戯曲）に関する資料の検索と分析を行う予定だったが、完了できなかった。当初、手稿フォルダーの番号にそって整理していったものの、日西の文学・思想に関する手稿が混在していたため、手稿を精読しながら、テーマごとに整理分類するのに時間がかかってしまった。また自筆原稿の判読困難な部分も多く、スペイン語校閲者に依頼して内容を確認する必要性が生じた。1年目の反省点を踏まえ、2年目以降は研究の進め方も見直し、手稿の精読を優先し、日本文学について著した手稿を優先的に分析していくことにする。
2018年3月にアメリカ比較文学学会において口頭発表した内容を現在、加筆修正中である。2018年度はピサロの戯曲『祖国を追われた者たちの宗教劇』（1950）と古典能の様式の影響を論じた部分は執筆終了したものの、2018年度、2019年度の研究成果を加える必要があるため、2019年度中に論文を完成させ、学術誌に投稿する。
ピサロと同じくスペイン内戦後にアメリカ大陸諸国に亡命した共和国派の作家、知識人が亡命先で行った文化活動を把握することは、戯曲の創作背景を知ることで重要であると判断した。特に戯曲が創作された第二次世界大戦後の1950年代は、フランコ独裁政権が欧米諸国により承認されたことにより、亡命作家、知識人らは母国スペインに対する態度や意識を変えざるをえない状況となった。その点を詳細に分析した亡命知識人のF．アヤラによる論考『我々は誰のために書くのか』（1949）についての考察を英語論文としてまとめた。本論文は科研費による研究成果であるが、論文前半部分は本研究課題と関連するため記載することとする。
In the first year, I intended to transcribe and analyze the manuscripts of Miguel Pizarro regarding his creation of the play Auto de los despatriados. However, it took more time than I expected and I could not finish the transcription of the hand-written documents. In the next year, I will give a priority to transcribe the manuscripts of Pizarro's observation on Japanese literature. Currently, I am working on the article in English based on the paper delivered in Annual Meeting of the American Comparative Association in 2018. I will finish the article in 2019 adding new research findings and send to an academic journal specialized in Japan Studies. In addition, I have published a monograph in English that analyzes F. Ayala's article "For Whom Do We Write" (1949). This article is essential to understand cultural activities and mentality of Spanish exiled writers and intellectuals in the 1940s and the 1950s. This analysis helps to comprehend the time and socio-cultural backgrounds of the time that Pizarro created his play.
