1998年以来, 科研費・HFSP・JSTなどの外部資金によって継続している大規模双生児研究の調査データを統合し, 人間の心理的・行動的な発達と教育による学習の成果に及ぼす遺伝と環境のかかわりを, 縦断的かつ包括的に解明する基盤づくりを進めた。そのために, これまでに取り切れなかったデータの追加, ならびに未整理のデータの入力, 紙媒体の質問紙の整理等の作業を行った。
追加されたデータとしては, 来校形式による発達調査(認知能力, 実行機能, 社会性など), 質問紙法による社会的行動, 学業成績, 教育環境, 家庭環境などの調査である。特に質問紙法による調査は, これまで親が回答者であったのに加えて, 縦断研究の中でははじめて子ども自身が回答した。
またそのデータを利用して, 実行機能や一般パーソナリティ, 実行機能, 利他性, 教育動機などの成果を論文・学会発表によって発信するとともに, 一般書(『「心は遺伝する」とどうして言えるのかーふたご研究のロジックとその先へ』創元社刊)の出版にも役立てた。
さらに遺伝と環境の関係に関する研究(ふたごによる研究)のみならず, ふたごの特殊性, とりわけ一卵性双生児と二卵性双生児のきょうだい関係の違いに関しての研究(ふたごの研究)も行われた。
これまでの研究成果(論文, 学会ポスター発表, 学会高等発表)やフィードバックのためのニュースレターなどを記録としてまとめた。
The current funding was used to integrate a variety of research data sets conducted by our large scale twin study run by the Grant-In-Aid, Human Science Program, JST and soon since 1998, and to construct the foundation to clarify interactional relationship between heredity and environment in human psychological and behavioral development and education longitudinally. In order to attain these purposes, we added data which had not been collected before and made up preinted files of questionnaires.
Our new additional data were experimental developmental investigation of behavioral variables (eg. cognitive abilities, executive function, sociability), paper-and-pencil style of investigation of social behavior, academic achievements, educational environment, family environment and so on, which were filled our by not only parents but also children themselves.
Research outcomes were presented in several academic journals , books and meetings.
