本研究ではドイツにおける自転車交通網に関する基準と、ラインラント=プファルツ州の自転車交通網整備においての基準適応を調べた。ラインラント=プファルツ州が2000年に全面的な自転車交通網の本格的計画・実施に踏みだし、日常ルートとレクリエーションルートを含む、総延長約700kmの自転車交通網を現在も整備中である。全面的に統一された案内標識のデザインを確保するために、州はさらに2004年に独自のデザインガイドラインを発行した。自転車交通網と自転車案内標識の実施は州内の地方自治体によって行われる。  This research concerns the norms regarding bicycle traffic networks and bicycle traffic signs in Germany and their application to the bicycle traffic network introduced in Rhineland-Palatinate. In 2000, this federal state seriously started planning and implementing its bicycle traffic network of approx. 700km of everyday routes and recreational routes. Some of these routes are still under construction. In order to achieve uniform bicycle traffic signs in the whole area, Rhineland-Palatinate compiled its own design guidelines in 2004. Town and village councils are responsible for building bicycle paths and erecting bicycle traffic signs.
