本研究ではスマートフォン, タブレットを利用してフィールドワークを行い, その結果得られた情報に基づいて, 町・村などの過去の人々の営みの場を, GIS上でわかりやすく示していくことを目標とした。そのため, Windows, Android, iPhoneの各OS上で動作する, 無料のソフトウェアを使用し, 敷居の低い, 誰でも使える環境構築を目指した。
まず, 主に3つの場所で行ったフィールドワークの成果について, 説明したい。宮古島・伊良部島においては, 琉球国由来記に載る25の御嶽について, ほぼ現在地を特定し, GIS上に落とすことができた。特に宮古島の北部, 平家の落人伝承が残る狩俣集落においては, 集落を守る石塁の変遷や御嶽の場所について, GIS入力を伴う実地踏査を行うことによって, 生活・信仰の場としてのイメージをわかりやすく可視的に復原することができた。
矢野荘故地においては, 若狭野雨内地区の調査をほぼ終了し, 現地に伝存した新出の系図を発見することができた。この系図と残された地名や立荘の経緯を考え合わせることによって, 集落の成り立ちについての見通しを立てることができた。また, 北部能下, 釜出, 二柏野地区の調査においては, 荘域の確定を進める共に, 中世以来の古道の踏査を行い, 多くの地名を検出した。特に釜出地区において, 正安検注帳に載る地名を複数検出できたことによって, 検注順路の復原が可能な段階となった。
日吉地区においては, 近世～近代の村落景観のイメージを復原していくことに注力し, その成果をまとめることができた。
教育面においては, これまでの研究結果の蓄積を元に, 来年度3年生向けの選択授業を開講することとなった。ここでは, 人文学と情報学の融合を目指し, 生徒にはテキストや地図をデジタル化すること新たな知見を得てもらうことを目標としている。この授業において取り上げるフィールドは, 沖縄や兵庫県播磨地域, そして身近な日吉周辺を想定している。
In this research, we conducted fieldwork with the aim of restoring the landscape of the past people on GIS by using free software that runs on Windows, Android and iPhone operating system.
I would like to briefly explain the research outcome conducted in the following three areas : Miyakojima, Yano manor, and Hiyoshi area. With regard to Miyakojima and Irabujima, we found out the locations of most of the ancient 25 Utaki mentioned on Ryukyu koku yuraiki, Ryuku Kingdom Origin, and dropped them on GIS as they used to be in the remote past. Particularly, in the northern part of Miyakojima, where the lost tradition of the Heike remains, the original image of life and belief of the local people was illuminated as a result of meticulous exploration on the transition of stone base protecting the village and places of Utaki.
Regarding the Yano manor, extensive research was done concerning the areas inside the Wakasano Amauchi and a genealogy was newly discovered which is still rooted deeply in the minds of the local people. Careful consideration as to how this genealogy links to a variety of field names in the locality and the history of manor establishment has made it possible to have a clear idea about the history of the village. Moreover, we carried out another survey in Northern area, Nohge, Kamade and Futatsugaino districts and interviewed the local people about ancient roads built in and after Middle Ages as well as their close investigation. As an outcome of these studies, we discovered geographical names which had not been in maps.
In the district of Hiyoshi, great emphasis was put on studying the change in the village landscapes and, based on the information obtained by the study, we restored the modern-time village landscape.
Finally, as one of the implications of the research results, it was decided to offer an elective course for the third graders of Keio Futsubu School. With the aim of integrating humanities and informatics, the goal is to have students obtain new knowledge by digitalization of texts and maps. The fields covered in the course are Okinawa, Harima area in Hyogo Prefecture and Hiyoshi area, familiar to the students.
