| Abstract |
本稿は、複言語主義の普及が異文化に対する見方を多様化し、日本社会を豊かにすることにつながり、次のような改革案によって、異文化間の相互理解に貢献する複言語話者が育成できることを主張する。
(1) 小学校外国語活動を英語に限らず、「外国語」の活動とする。
(2) 高校で「外国語概説」という授業を設置し、英語以外の言語の選択肢を拡大する。
(3) 現在大学で行われている第2外国語の授業を高校で行う。
(4) 大学では外国語を使って専門の研究を行う。
(5) 母語継承語教育を公立学校で行う。
