経営学は「実用的」な学問だと言われているが，その実用性をめぐっては様々な議論が展開されており，意見の一致は見られていない。本稿では，経営学における実用性をめぐる問題について，その概要を確認した上で，ドイツ語圏の経営経済学における実用性をめぐる学説史を検討し，「理論」と「実践」の関係について多様な見解が見られることを確認する。その後で，ドイツ経営経済学において一貫して応用科学としての経営経済学という立場を主張し，強固な理論的基礎に基づきつつ，実用的な議論の提供を目指す，キルシュとその協働者の議論を取り上げ，その特徴と課題を検討することで，経営学の実用性をめぐる問題を整理する。
Business administration is said to be a ``practical'' discipline, but there are various debates surrounding its “practicality”, and no consensus has been found. In this article, we will review the overview of the issues surrounding practicality in business administration, examine the history of the academic debate on practicality in business administration in German-speaking countries, and confirm that there are a variety of views on the relationship between "theory" and "practice" in this academic field. After that, we take up the argument of Werner Kirsch and his joint researcher. They insist consistently on the position of business administration as an applied science and try to provide practical discussions based on these methodological foundations. We will order the issues surrounding the practicality of business administration by examining their methodological discussions.
