今年度は、海外のサッカークラブを対象に、インタビュー調査および現地視察を実施し、テクニカルスタッフの実情について明らかにすることを目的に調査を進めた。
インタビュー調査の対象として協力を得られたクラブは、ベルギー1部リーグに所属する１クラブ、ドイツブンデスリーガに所属する2クラブの合計3クラブであった。また、ドイツの複数クラブにテクニカルスタッフとして卒業生を送り出している大学教員1名にもテクニカルスタッフの実情についてインタビュー調査を行った。
インタビューについては、主に2つの観点から調査を進めた。1つ目は、テクニカルスタッフの構成および構成の変遷について、2つ目はテクニカルスタッフのチームでの役割、実務について現地視察および聞き取りを行った。今回の調査対象となった3クラブにおいては、ここ約5年以内の間に複数名の増加があったことが確認できた。その構成のうち、ドイツの2クラブでは心理カウンセラーの在籍が確認されたが、ベルギーのクラブでは心理カウンセラーの活用はみられなかった。心理カウンセラーの役割については、ドイツの2クラブでは異なり、一つはトレーニング時にピッチ内で積極的に選手に介入するケース、もう一方はピッチ外でトレーニングを観察しその場では介入しないケースであった。どちらのケースにおいても、監督の意向により活用方法が定められていることがインタビュー調査によって確認ができた。また、3クラブともフィジカルコーチはGPS機器を用いてリアルタイムにデータを収集し、トレーニング負荷のコントロールがされていた。アナリストが使用する映像に関しては、グラウンドの照明の支柱などにビデオカメラが常設されているクラブや、ドローンによる撮影を実施しているクラブもあり、その活用方法により編成が異なっていた。今年度得られたデータの詳細については、適切な形で情報公開できるよう計画に沿って慎重に進めていく予定である。
We recently conducted interviews of and site visits to overseas soccer clubs to clarify the situation of their technical staff. The three participating clubs included one in the Belgian First Division and two in the German Bundesliga. Additionally, one university faculty member who had sent graduates to several clubs in Germany as technical staff members was interviewed about their actual situations. The interviews assessed two main points: first, technical staff composition and changes over time; and second, technical staff roles and practices for the team. The number of staff members of the three surveyed clubs had increased over the last 5 years. The two German clubs had a psychology counselor on staff, while the Belgian club did not. One psychology counselor actively interacted with the players on the pitch during training, while the other observed training from off the pitch and did not immediately interact with the players. In both cases, the interviews confirmed that the coaches’ intentions dictated their roles. In all three clubs, the physical coaches used global positioning system devices to collect data in real time to control the training load. The video footage used by the analysts was collected differently: some clubs had video cameras permanently installed on lighting poles and other locations on the pitch, while others used drones for filming. The details of the data obtained herein will be carefully managed to ensure appropriate information disclosure.
