本研究の目的は、海外での指導経験を有する日本人指導者を対象に質的研究法を実施し、日本の育成システムおよび指導者養成の一助となるための基礎的資料を得ることであった。2021年度は3年計画のうちの2年目の位置づけであったが、新型コロナウイルスの影響により、本研究の中核となる「現在海外で指導を行っている指導者への調査」が、昨年度に引き続き実施することができなかった。そのため、海外での指導経験を有する国内在住の指導者を対象とするなど、研究計画を修正しながら、基礎的データの収集を続けた。また、近年のサッカー指導現場でのコーチングや戦術の変化など、現代サッカーに関する事項について文献考証を進めた。近年、欧州から日本に帰還する選手が増えたことにより「日本と欧州のサッカーは別競技」なる発言が立て続けに聞かれるようになったことは、本研究の意図する日本の育成システムや指導者養成システムの発展の必要性を裏付ける発言であることが窺える。また、欧州でのトレーニングメソッドは急速に革新が進んでおり、「制約主導型アプローチ」や、「コンテクスチュアルトレーニング」、「バイオバンディング」など、新たなトレーニングメソッドやコーチング手法が確立されている。これらの手法が生み出される背景には、運動学習理論やシステム論、さらにはネットワーク論のような複雑系科学の成果までを踏まえた研究と実践によって確立されていることが明らかとなった。さらには、これら最新の理論に基づいたコーチ育成やそのインストラクター養成がすでに実施されていることから、今後さらに日本の指導者養成について検討していく必要性が考えられた。
今年度の成果をもとに、本研究の最終年度となる2022年度内にデータ収集を終え、国内外での学会発表を経て、当該研究領域における基礎的研究資料としていち早く引用されるよう、論文掲載への準備を進めていく。
The purpose of this study was to conduct a qualitative research on Japanese coaches with overseas coaching experience and to obtain basic data to help Japan's training system and coaching development. In 2021, the second year of a three-year project, this study could not be completed due to the effects of the novel coronavirus disease pandemic. The core survey with instructors who are currently teaching abroad could not be conducted as in the previous year. Therefore, we continued to collect basic data while modifying the research plan to include coaches living in Japan who have overseas coaching experience. In addition, a literature review was conducted on matters related to modern soccer, including recent changes in coaching and tactics in the field of coaching. In recent years, as the number of players returning to Japan from Europe has increased, sentiments about the differences between soccer in Japan and in Europe suggest the need for the improvement of Japan's development and leadership training systems. Additionally, training methods in Europe are rapidly innovating, and new training and coaching methods, such as the "constraint-driven approach," "contextual training," and "bio banding," have been established. Clearly, the rationale behind these methods has been established through research and practice based on motor learning theory, systems theory, and even the results of complex systems science, such as network theory. Based on the results of this fiscal year, data collection will be completed by the end of the 2022 financial year, the final year of this research project, and preparations will be made for publication so that the data will be cited as basic research material in the relevant research area at the earliest possible date, after presentations at academic conferences in Japan and abroad.
